Have you heard of or seen the Waldorf Dolls? They are so cute! The simplicity and handcrafted nature of their design make for a very desirable toy. The same is true for the Waldorf styled animals.
These Waldorf styled bunnies made for the perfect first knitting project. I love that each one takes it own shape and personality. This project is one that will impress everyone that you were able to create it with your own two hands after your very first knitting level lessons. They also make a great fast gift!
After learning the basics of casting on, the knit stitch, and the purl stitch, I walk you through step-by-step for this first project. The bunny project starts with knitting a simple square. The shaping all happens by stuffing and sewing up a few seams.
The ears knit up in a jiffy too! As you come to the end of knitting your first ear, there is an opportunity to learn your first decrease stitch by knitting two together (k2tog). After sewing up your cute little rabbit and attaching the ears, all that is left is making the fluffy tail.
This project is so rewarding that you will want to knit up a whole Bunny Rabbit Family! These knitting lessons and their accompanying projects that are created with the beginner in mind are available to you for FREE! The video tutorials walk you through each and every step, start to finish. The videos and patterns are accessible 24/7 at your convenience, for you to learn from as many times as you need.
Along with my desire to be creative, I was born with a desire to teach.
From the time that I was very young I knew that I wanted to be a teacher. I also really liked babies and little kids. Babysitting jobs kept me busy from the age of twelve and on through until I became a Nanny after high school. In between those years I took some classes in Early Childhood Development and worked at a daycare center. After getting married I became head teacher in my preschool class. My favorite thing to do was the lesson planning and then using the lessons with my students.
The step-by-step lessons I create for Roses Bloom pull from my talent as a preschool teacher. My goal is to to cultivate your natural abilities and begin with basic skills. Lessons build on one-another, giving you confidence one step at a time. All of my pattens and materials are written with the mindset that you have never experienced the skill before. In the beginning everything is explained, keeping the vocabulary simple but at the same time slowly introducing mainstream instruction.
The very first thing we do in the beginning level of all the Creativity Trainings, is take a look at the tools required to learn the skill. I am a thrifty simple person, so my recommendations are the bare necessities and of affordable quality. There are always so many options out there, and while you should explore them sometime, I don't want you to be experiencing any stress about how to start and what you need.
Everyone has different ways they learn best. That is why I combine visual, audio, and text in every lesson. If you still find a concept hard or get confused in anyway-I want you to contact me so that I can help you have success and confidence in building up your talent.
